Diablo 2 lod latest patch3/12/2024 And then they could take "LoD+/Resurrected" mode whatever you wanna call it, into the future, and do whatever crazy stuff they want with it. It's not about the one I like the most, or going all crazy with it, it would be no different from how Classic is now, which literally no one has a problem with. The D2 we know, love, and remember, brought to 2021. The one that was advertised as what it was going to be, even if not technically advertised that way (people try to explain this to me like "they never said this or that", I'm not gonna argue if that is what you're gonna pull, because we all know what they marketed D2R as, and to who, and for what, no need to play weasel games about it). The most stable one after D2R launch, aka this one, 1.13/1.14 essentially, or whatever it is in D2R terms. Why can't we have both options? I'm not going to speak to cost or resources for supporting both options because only Blizzard knows how they fund and support their own projects and I'm not going to sit here and take "because servers" as a valid answer until there's an official source stating as such. Then, when they complain about balance it's as simple as sending them over to the Ladder where they can play the rebalanced skills and new runewords. I can explain to someone who's new to the game what makes the game unique and fun. I can fire up the game with my buddies and do a "legacy"(as to not confuse Classic Diablo II) run, using all the same builds and items that have been relevant for the past 10 years. In its current state, it is also timeless. All I'm asking is that the final state of LoD, as Blizzard had developed it, is preserved in some fashion.ĭiablo II is a classic.
